The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) have cleared the way for the return to service of the Boeing 737 MAX.The FAA published its final approval of the modified 737 MAX in the Federal Register on November 20. American Airlines was the first to put the MAX into its schedule, with a daily round trip planned between New York and Miami from December 29. United Airlines says it expects to use it from early 2021, but Southwest Airlines doesn't plan to operate the type before the second quarter of the year.
