New-Generation Albatros Certified

Aero Vodochody Aerospace has received a Type Certificate for the L-39NG Albatros. The milestone was announced by the company on September 22. Issued by the Military Aviation Authority of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, it makes the L-39NG one of the first military aircraft to meet EMAR (European Military Airworthiness Requirements) 21 and EMACC (European Military Airworthiness Certification Criteria) standards, recognised by all EU and NATO authorities. Around 300 sorties have been completed by the two flying prototypes.
