Boeing Consolidates Dreamliner Production

Assembly of all Boeing 787 Dreamliners will be undertaken at North Charleston, South Carolina, from around mid-2021. Production of the airliner at Everett, Washington, will end. Only the 787-10 is currently built at North Charleston, which will be joined by the 787-8 and -9 produced at Everett. The changes are the result of a review of the Dreamliner programme initiated by Boeing in July, when the company also announced it was decreasing the production rate of the airliner from 14 to six a month in 2021.
