German Helicopter SAR Order

Airbus Helicopters received an order from Germany's Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support for seven H145s on December 13. The new helicopters will replace the current Heeresflieger (German Army Aviation) UH-1D search and rescue (SAR) fleet. The aircraft will be delivered in 2020 and will be stationed at Niederstetten, Holzdorf and Norvenich. Airbus Helicopters will be responsible for logistics support, repair and maintenance of the helicopters.
