US Army Has Hands on Hips

Photographs released by the US Department of Defense have revealed that three former Pakistan Army Mi-8MTV-1 Hips are being used as training aids by the US Army in Germany. One of them, 58506 (c 94512, ex 94512/US Army), was removed from the US Army's Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) in Hohenfels on March 12 and transported by road to Storck Barracks, lllesheim.Then it was reassembled for use by Company B, 601 st Aviation Support Battalion as a static aid for sling load training in aircraft recovery operations.
