Developed over four years by British designer Lee McCormack and now going into production, the Oculas provides a secluded space with endless possibilities. It can be used as a business-to-business tool, for marketing and brand awareness. Fitted with a computer (Mac or PC), surround sound and special lighting it can be used to deliver a multimedia message or carry out a content-specific application, such as training. Disney has already seen the potential of the Oculas and bought 25 of the pods to launch Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy in 2005. That success means that the pods will now tour the USA during the build up to other films.
