Out of home TV and digital media applications have become a hot topic for retailers and brands, and are the fastest growing communications category in-store. Now, research from Point of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI) is suggesting that motion displays provoke an 88 per cent increase in normal sales and that 70 per cent of retailers using screen networks prefer motion displays, because they effectively attract consumers and drive sales. Further research from Mintel says that in-store media increases consumers' average spend, increases the average length of time they spend in and increases impulse purchasing.
