Olympic Torch Relay integrates communications

Integration As Olympic presenting partner, Samsung's sponsorship of the 70-day Olympic Torch Relay came within reach of 95 per cent of the population from 18 May to 27 July. The company headed up the relay with a large vehicle responsible for live coverage and used a wireless multiplex terminal for a mobile viewpoint to transmit images of the torchbearers and cheering crowd scenes along the route. This relied on a combination of different mobile 3G networks for live video connection countrywide.
