LECTURE CAPTURE

As AV becomes a standard tool for lecturers it can also be used to record their performances for posterity. Simple 'lecture capture' systems record the lecturer's voice, PowerPoint slides, plus inputs from other sources such as projectors and visualisers, usually in searchable form. More elaborate systems include video footage of the lecturer, either from fixed cameras (close-up and wide shot) or using motion sensors to control track and zoom.
