Auto recyclers have been "green" since the inception of the industry in the early 20th century. They were green before green existed. The practices may not have been perfect, but those pioneer auto recyclers set the stage for the industry that exists today. As the green movement progresses, and the government becomes increasingly more concerned with the environmental impact of auto recycling, the industry will begin to feel the pressure of additional rules and regulations.rnIn the future, it will be more difficult to run your business in isolation while trying to navigate the impending regulations. These are real challenges thatrnyou will face, and through it all we need to ensure our interests'are met and the services we provide to the community remain strong and effective as our businesses grow. Although a seemingly daunting task, we can better achieve success through the proper use of our auto recycling associations and through a public education campaign.
