Lancia Sets New Design Course with Delta

The 2009 Delta marks a milestone in design for Fiat's Lancia brand. Known more for its awkwardness, Lancia has never been a styling leader. The brand hopes the new Delta will break that tradition as it shines a light on the brand's new design philosophy: imposing grille, dynamic front-end styling with a generous lower air intake, LED front accent lighting, high waist lines and trapezoidal rear pillars. Built on the foundation of the Fiat Bravo, the Delta offers a panorama roof complete with a two-tone color scheme, wraparound rear spoilers and LED tail lamps. Inside, designers focused on applying high-quality materials, including Alcantara trim and Benova leatherette trim on the top of the instrument panel-the same material Benecke-Kaliko supplies for the Lincoln MKS and Cadillac CTS.
