With the automotive industry experiencing record levels of demand both for new and used vehicles in recent years, as well as changes in the way customers make purchases, the need to move cars around the country is greater than ever. Yet the vehicle logistics sector remains a low-key one, humming away in the background and rarely moving to the fore. The past year has seen the industry continue to grow, with some huge deals being signed. For example, Britain's largest inspection and collection business, BCA Logistics, has taken on a massive contract with Mitsubishi to cover all its vehicle movements, from the docks to defleet and on to the dealer forecourt.
