Silhouetted in the winter sunlight, CEO Ed Gulda can gaze out the wall-of-windows surrounding his stunningly spartan office in suburban Detroit and know just what he has to do — make his new company, Peregrine Inc., fly like the falcon that shares its name. Created late last year from four Delphi Interior & Lighting Systems plants in Flint and Livonia, Mich., and Windsor and Oshawa, Ont, Peregrine's owned by the New York investment firm Joseph littlejohn & Levy. It will be headquartered in Southfield, Mich., a Detroit suburb.
