Anthony Best Dynamics (ABD) has launched a new moment of inertia measurement system (MIMS). It comes as an extension to the test capabilities of the company's suspension parameter measurement machine (SPMM), for suspension kinematic and compliance measurements.rnThe MIMS is designed to measure the inertial properties of vehicle bodies, but is equally applicable to the measurement of the properties of other rigid bodies, such as engines and gearboxes. The system has been fully verified by a series of tests carried out at Ford's proving ground at Lommel in Belgium.
