Size matters

The last 10 years have seen a massive revival in car production in eastern Europe. Skoda, in particular, has benefited enormously under the guiding hand of Volkswagen while there are signs of revival of the virtually defunct Dacia brand now that it is under Renault ownership. Furthermore a number of acclaimed models ranging from the Audi TT Roadster to the class-leading Ford Transit van have been conceived on production lines within the old Eastern Bloc.
