Stop and start - C3 style

Every morning, my neighbour starts the car and then proceeds to clean the windscreen; he goes back indoors to bring out his bits and pieces, before getting in and adjusting the seat and safety belt. After a few minutes, the car pulls away, with a conspicuous amount of revs in low gear, to the end of the street. It will then proceed into the local town and linger for protracted periods at a series of traffic lights, together with other vehicles from all directions, whilst pedestrians (often non-existent) are given ample opportunity to cross. Finally, the car will queue for a parking space and be slotted into its berth not long after the coolant temperature gauge has attained the 'normal' segment.
