Race car firm Dallara has opened a new wind tunnel complex to support the growth of its aerodynamic consultancy business. Dallara chief executive Andrea Pontremoli said: "We want to make our own cars more competitive and increase the technical benefits for clients." The company manufactures vehicles for race series, including Formula 3, IRL and a number of one-make formulae. It was the first Italian manufacturer to invest in a wind tunnel with a moving belt in 1984 to study ground effects.
