Bosch and Mahle are establishing a 50:50 joint venture to manufacture and market exhaust gas turbochargers. The firm will allow Bosch to offer OEMs a single source for the key engine downsizing technologies.rnThe use of exhaust gas turbochargers is already common in diesels and is expected to become more prevalent in gasoline engines too. Turbos, combined with the advanced injection technologies that Bosch already produces, will be a key technology in fuel-saving engine downsizing concepts.
