Alloy wheel firm BBS has developed a forging process that enables the weight of its wheels to be reduced by one fifth. Any reduction in unsprung mass improves suspension kinematics. The technology was developed for Formula One.rnBBS' aftermarket wheels are the first volume applications to benefit but the process will be used next on products for OEM customers. The company expectsrnto increase its business with Ferrari and Porsche.
