Evita tests safety systems

Engineers who need to gauge the real-world effectiveness of collision avoidance systems and driver alerts should get in touch with Darmstadt Technical University's vehicle technology department. After completing a project with Honda, Darmstadt's researchers are seeking further projects for their Evita device.rnThe aim was to create a realistic rear-end collision scenario for the driver to test alerts and countermeasures. Often this is done either without a driver, just throwing something onto the car, or by driving towards an inflatable. Darmstadt's method allows you to include normal drivers in the research.
