Electric rear axle to drive C-segment car

BMW will use its 1 Series coupe as a prototype for a electric rear axle module in field trials. Unlike the electric Mini prototype, the car will keep its rear seats. "We're using it to recreate BMW's trademark rear-wheel drive handling in a four-seater. We may develop some parts further for integration into the Megacity Vehicle we're planning," said BMW.
