Ford brings more battery testing in-house

Anticipating growth in the market for hybrids and electric vehicles (EVs), Ford is doubling its battery testing capacity at its Advanced Electrification Centre in the US. By the end of 2012 the firm will have five hybrids, plug-in hybrids and EVs in the market. Building in-house competence in advanced battery development will help to reduce cost and time to market.
