Toyota evolves connected vehicle technologies

Toyota will spend $35 million on developing safer automated and connected vehicle technologies. The investment will be directed towards the OEM's Collaborative Safety Research Centre (CSRC), in North America, which will be able to continue its work into the 2020s as a result With the financial support, research at CSRC from 2016 will focus on developing human-machine interface guidelines for next-generation autonomous and connected vehicle systems.
