Jaguar and Intel keep eyes on the road

Jaguar Land Rover and Intel have joined forces to develop sensing technology that monitors a driver's eyes, even when wearing sunglasses, in an effort to reduce hazardous driving. In collaboration with developer Seeing Machines, the firms have produced a prototype vehicle that uses attention-monitoring sensors in the dashboard, The system can identify if the driver is drowsy or distracted by detecting their eye and facial movements, even in bright sunlight or when wearing glasses.
