Volkswagen has reached a settlement with US federal regulators, private plaintiffs and 44 states after its diesel scandal. The OEM has proposed a settlement programme including vehicle buybacks and lease terminations, emissions modifications (if approved) and cash payments to affected customers for 475,000 vehicles.
