Reme in Bosnia

The Napoleonic Army may have marched on its stomach, but today's high-tech mechanised warriors also rely on battalions of craftsmen to keep them on the move. To sustain the front line fighting soldier, three main functional areas of combat support are required: Logistics, Medical and Equipment. The Royal Logistic Corps supplies ammunition, food and fuel, the Royal Army Medical Corps looks after the injured and the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) takes care of equipment repair and maintenance.
