Judging by a number of recent reports London has become the city, the coolest, most fashionable city on earth. Maybe not as quite as frenetic as the heady Swinging Sixties, but nevertheless the place in which to be seen. Living and working there, though, one sees things in a different perspective and it's not quite so glamorous. For example, what about the Underground system that just about creaks along? We're hardly talking about state of the art technology here. Or what about those poor blighters who sleep in boxes in shop doorways? I bet they have a different view of the city.
