CLASSIFICATION OF ONTOLOGY PROPERTIES: PROPERTIES AND CLASSIFICATION OF ONTOLOGIES

This series of papers deals with systematizing the approach to evaluating ontology properties. The ontology concept is considered in the first article of the series, and the present paper provides the properties of ontologies as published in the literature and a classification of them. A universal classification of properties is proposed, which can be used in a unified approach to evaluating ontologies and models of them. Particular attention is given to structural properties that enable one to evaluate ontologies during creation.
