Design of cooling water systems to help minimise microbial hazards and reduce global warming

摘要

The application of the control measures outlined in this paper will help to prevent or inhibit the growth in cooling water systems of microorganisms that are liable to cause Legionnaires' disease and other diseases. The application of some of those control measures will also aid in minimising the greenhouse effect as a result of minimising the energy demand for air conditioning the built environment.
