Victoria's new licensing laws

From 1 January 2000 Victorian law will require refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics who work on heating and cooling systems in buildings and on boats to be licensed or registered with the Plumbing Industry Commission. Although the new laws are already in place, they become effective next year and will require refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics who work on the heating and cooling of buildings to be licensed or registered with the Commission by 1 January 2000.
