Stephanie Clare Scott was born on 14 October 1988 in Sydney. As at Easter 2015 she was 26 years of age. She was an enthusiastic and much-loved drama teacher at Leeton High School in the Riverina region of New South Wales where she had been teaching for three years. Her parents are Robert (Bob) and Merrilyn Scott. Stephanie had four siblings; two sisters and two brothers. Her father was the Deputy Principal at Canowindra High School. Aaron Leeson-Woolley was a student at the school and Bob Scott identified him as a gifted sportsman. Bob began taking Aaron to various sporting competitions and, as a result, Aaron became close to the Scott family, including Stephanie.
