As I write in early July, the preliminary findings of two important projects within the Directions for the Australian Wine Sector industry strategy are being considered by the Directions taskforce, the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation and the Winemakers' Federation of Australia. An audit of infrastructure constraints facing the wine sector and a comprehensive national industry survey are important 'building blocks' for the final strategy document to be released next May.
