The AIP Tasmanian Branch held its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 19th November. A small number of members attended the meeting. The business of the year was summarised, the financial balance sheets presented and office bearers elected. Prof. Bob Delbourgo was elected President; Dr John Humble, Vice-President; Dr Elizabeth Chelkowska, Secretary; Dr Stephen Newbery, Treasurer; and Drs Marc Duldig, Ian Newman and Ray Haynes and Prof Peter McCulloch, Committee Members, with Dr Marc Duldig continuing as Associate Editor for the Physicist. In his annual report, Bob Delbourgo lamented the ageing population of members of the Branch and the committee and asked all members to help in recruiting new and younger Tasmanian members to the Institute.
