Using LibGuides to enhance library services: A LITA guide

As the title suggests, this is a 'how to' guide for current or potential users of LibGuides, a cloud-based, web content management system. It takes the reader logically through the steps required to set up, design, use and maintain LibGuides. There is some critical analysis of why the reader might choose LibGuides over open source alternatives such as SubjectsPlus from Ithaca College or Library a la Carte from Oregon State University. But this is really a book for the converted. The editors describe themselves as 'fans of LibGuides', and all the contributors appear to be enthusiastic users of the product. Once the reader embraces this enthusiasm, this book achieves its purpose of being a practical and straightforward guide to the LibGuides software.
