An Overview of Regional Responses in the Asia-Pacific to the PSI

摘要

Proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), that is, nuclear, biological and chemical weapons, and their delivery systems constitutes one of the greatest threats to international peace and security. The threat is compounded by the interest of terrorists in acquiring WMD. The danger that WMD may be used by terrorists has increased and taken on greater urgency since the September 11th terrorist attacks in the United States.
