Energy and climate policy is at a critical point in Australia. Australia has signed up to the Paris Agreement on Climate Change (Paris Agreement), committing to emissions reductions of 26%-28% below 2005 levels by 2030. At the same time, concerns about the continuing reliability of our electricity system are mounting - with hot summers and retiring coal plants taxing the stretched system.
