Ruben Meerman isn't working as a practising scientist any-moore, but he remains a demonstration that cool jobs for scientists exist. Having completed a physics degree at Queensland University of Technology, Ruben began his career making optics for the laser industry at Laserdyne Technologies. Deciding that applying thin film interference coatings was not his goal in life, Ruben enrolled in a Graduate Diploma in Science Communication at the Australian National University.
