World Energy Council Holds 16th Congress in Tokyo

The 16th Congress of the World Energy Council (WEC) — known as TOKYO '95 — was held from October 8 to 13 at the Japan Convention Center (Makuhari Messe), located in Chiba Prefecture just east of Tokyo. It was the first WEC Congress to be held in East Asia. Japanese Crown Prince Naruhito — the honorary president of the Congress — accompanied by Crown Princess Masako, at the opening ceremony, and declared the event underway.
