AEC Holds 2nd Round-Table Conference on Nuclear Energy Policy

On May 17,, the Atomic Energy Commission of Japan held the second Round-Table Conference on Nuclear Energy Policy in Tokyo. The forum was established to help form a national consensus on nuclear policy by reflecting the opinions of people in various fields and at various levels. Discussions this time focused on public access to information, particularly in regard to the policy-making process, and the nature of public participation, including the definition of "the citizen."
