CHOICE OF A MODEL FOR THE HEATING OF A LARGE LEAD TRAGET BY 5 GeV PROTONS

Thermograms illustrating the spatiotemporal development of heating of a 0.5×0.5×0.8 m lead block irradiated by 5 GeV protons, taking account of the switchings of the beam on the off, are presented in [1]. In [2], it is pointed out that anomalous heating of the target occurred in the experiment performed in [1].
