The development of a new industry, associated with the practical application of the achievements of nuclear physics, mastery of the fission chain reaction, solution of urgent problems of the defense industry, development and creation of nuclear-power installations for different purposes, has made it necessary to train new types of specialists capable of solving diverse problems, from theoretical and experimental investigations to practical engineering developments.
