Tejas Networks will supply GPON optical line terminals (OLTs) and optical network terminals (ONTs) for the BharatNet fiber to the home (FTTH) rural broadband project in south India. The company received the of Rs. 32 crores supply contract from Sterlite Technologies and L&T Construction.BharatNet is the world's largest rural broadband project, according to Tejas; it aims to deliver high-speed Internet via FTTH to all the villages in India. The new award comes on top of the contracts Tejas Networks already has received for BharatNet Phase-1.
