Life science research in space brings health on Earth

摘要

The distinguished panel speaking at this joint COSPAR/IAC plenary session demonstrated several examples of how space life sciences research can prove to be beneficial to life science and medical research on Earth, Earth-bound technological developments, and overall improvement of the quality of life for astronauts and non-astronauts alike. In continuing our search for new knowledge in this field we will not only ensure the health of those who will travel into low-Earth orbit and beyond, we will also make great use of a truly unique scientific environment which clearly has both proven and untold benefits.
