Output of cameras, DVRs, TVs to rise 20 percent

Mainland China and Hong Kong makers boost capacities while Taiwan suppliers hone technology advantage to remain competitive. If output is any indication, mainland China makers are poised to dominate the CCTV line in the near future. There are about 150 to 200 CCTV suppliers in the mainland offering a wide range of low- to high-end models of CCTV cameras, CCTV monitors and DVRs. Even with already huge monthly outputs, mainland China makers continue to expand capacity, hone their R&D strengths and expand market reach. Hong Kong suppliers are also flexing their export capabilities, targeting mostly European markets but also the US and other parts of the world. Although some makers subcontract production, many have their own factories in the mainland.
