Fast recovering from decades of conflict and economic stagnation, the three countries of Indochina — Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam — seek to interconnect their infrastructure as well as their commerce and industry, for the common good. Indochina is indivisible from what is now generally known as the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). broadly speaking the largely undeveloped and relatively pristine littoral of the region's main waterway, the mighty Mekong River. The GMS encompasses ecosystems, people, economies and politics in territories administered by Cambodia, Laos. Myanmar (Burma), Thailand. Vietnam and Chinas southernmost mainland province, Yunnan.
