L-3 Selected as Prime Contractor to Provide C-27J for Australian Battlefield Airlifter Programme

L-3 Communications announced on May 2012 that it has been selected by the Australia Department of Defence to provide the C-27J Spartan for the country's Battlefield Airlifter programme. The US Foreign Military Sales programme has an approximate contract value of $600 million and includes the supply of 10 new C-27J aircraft worth about $300 million, plus contractor logistics support, spares and training.
