Anti-Armour Missile Systems for Varied Battle Scenarios

Anti-tank warfare emerged as a result of the need to develop the weapons to destroy tanks since they first saw battle during the First World War. Since then, technologies of all kinds, from mines, heavy rifles, rockets, rocket propelled grenades, and anti-tank wire guided weapons, have been developed for anti-tank warfare and/ or anti-amour engagement. Increasingly, the targets are now wide-ranging from the main battle tanks, other armoured vehicles to fortified positions such as bunkers. Here we look at the latest developments in modern tube-launched missile anti-armour weapons currently available and future systems.
