3G Plans To Spur Subscriber Growth In 2012

Thailand's mobile operators are determined to overcome 3G network nrollout delays due to the protracted fooding in the country and give nimpetus to the nascent industry. TOT and TrueMove H have an-nnounced plans to increase the number of 3G base stations and intro-nduce lower-cost smartphones respectively to spur subscriber growth nin 2012, which is in line with BMI's expectation that the Thai 3G nsector should be largely shielded from the foods' negative effects.
