CSIRO tests wireless broadband using existing TV antennas

Australia's CSIRO has begun trialing a broadband wireless service that incorporates current television antennas during the first NBN (National Broadband Network) rollout site in Tasmania. This system installs on TV broadcasting towers antennas that transmit broadband wireless using existing antennas. CSIRO had trialed the uplink portion of the technology in the laboratory, but this endeavor will undertake the test in real-world conditions.
