Shin Satellite and Baycom to launch broadband service

Shin Satellite Public Company Limited of Thailand and BayCom Sdn Bhd of Malaysia have signed a National Service Operator (NSO) agreement for Malaysia. Under the term of the agreement, which is estimated to be worth more than US$60 million, the companies will deliver two-way broadband services in Malaysia over the entire 12-year lifespan of the iPSTAR-1. The spacecraft is due to be launched in 2003.
